Connecting with the community through workshops

Shehzad is passionate about creating social change and connection through artistic practice, believing that creativity and education is essential to the growth of the community, encouraging connection and rehabilitation through creative means. Shehzad uses teaching as a way of making the creative arts accessible to the community, aimed at both children and adults, delivering these classes in collaboration with both private studio spaces and within institutions. These institutions in Leicester Adult education centre, and Skate parlour, which is a non profit organisation that aims to encourage mental health awareness through creativity and skateboarding, running camps for children as well as a space for adults to heal through skateboarding and community connection.

“Im still buzzing! Thank you Anna for hosting this wonderful workshop, Shehzad for your fabulous teaching and to Jaffa our amazing model! Phenomenal!”
